Friends and Family Open House: To be held the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of every month* (*with the exception of November, December, & January) from 6:00pm to 7:15pm . September through June 2008-2009 Dates: 9/3, 9/17, 10/1, 10/15, 11/5, 11/19, 12/3, 12/17, 1/7, 1/21, 2/4, 2/18, 3/4, 3/18, 4/1, 4/15, 5/6, 5/20, 6/3, 6/17

Location: ICP/CSAB, 1841 Broadway (entrance on 60th Street), 4th Floor

Facilitator Andrea Furman, MS Ed, RD, CDN has completed both her undergraduate and graduate certification as a Registered Dietitian from Penn State University and Hershey Medical Center. She currently maintains a private practice in both therapy and nutrition counseling specializing in eating disorders.

TRAINING

SPECIALTY TRAINING PROGRAM: Please see our Training page for details on our program.

SELECTED TRAINING COURSES: Two of the courses in the two-year Specialty Training Program -- Introduction to Treatment and Engagement -- may be taken on a non-matriculated basis. For descriptions of these courses, please see Specialty Training Courses.

    -Introduction to Working with Eating Disorders- Monday evenings for 12 sessions starting 9/12 (no classes 10/3 and 10/10). This course focuses on engagement of the patient, diagnosis and other beginning treatment issues.

    -Transference and Countertransference in working with Eating Disordered Patients - Monday evenings starting 11/7. This course will be a didactic and experiential group centered around working with transference and countertransference issues.
